Assessments
This unit will consist of two additional assessments other than a formative assessment at the end of a lesson, these additional assessments include a summative assessment and a performance assessment.
Summative:
The summative assessment will be an oral "test". Since this unit is aimed at such a young grade level, a written exam would be to difficult to give. The teacher will orally ask students questions at the end of a unit or lesson to measure students understanding and comprehension of the materials given. Performance:
The performance assessment will be given at the end of the unit. This will measure a students complete understanding of the materials that were presented. This assessment will require students to create a picture. After taking a survey of the students favorite seasons, they must create a picture of themselves in that season they voted for. Within the picture, they must also dress themselves properly along with some kind of activity that is being done. This assessment will let teachers know if students have grasped the full understanding of what we wear in a particular season and the types of activities that can be done. They will be assessed and graded based on a rubric presented below.
